INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION OF FISHERIES  SPONSORED BY SAUDI AQUACULTURE SOCIETY

The International Conference and Exhibition on Fisheries is scheduled to be held at the Riyadh International Exhibition and Conference Center in Riyadh during the period from January 26-28, 2021. The even is to be organized by City Events and sponsored by the National Program for the Development of the Fisheries Sector and the Saudi Aquaculture Society.
This conference and exhibition comes as a continuation of the previous exhibitions and conferences that the Saudi Aquaculture Society contributed in establishing in collaboration with its partners, whether the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture or the National Program for Development of Fisheries Sector in order to contribute to adding more momentum to the aquaculture sector in Saudi Arabia – a sector that is witnessing the largest developmental movement in the country. Its history as it is expected that these conferences will contribute to marketing investment opportunities available in the aquaculture industry sector in Saudi Arabia and the fisheries sector in general. The conference and exhibition will also contribute to marketing other sectors related to fish wealth such as marine sports, tourism and seafood industry, as the exhibition is expected to bring together a larger and better exhibiting companies in various industries related to fish wealth and aquaculture in the world to showcase their latest products and services.
SIMEC is considered the first diversified marine exhibition in Saudi Arabia. The exhibition attracts local as well as international exhibitors working in the field of fisheries, aquaculture and seafood, in addition to marine tourism and various marine industries.
Saudi Arabia Vision 2030 intended to achieve sustainable development in the fisheries development sector is regarded as one of the most important objectives. Statistics indicate that the volume of domestic demand for fish wealth in the country amounts to 383,000 tons annually, with 14,865 fishing boats and 30,370 workers employed.
Statistics also indicate a significant increase in the volume of production for the aquaculture sector, whether it is marine water production, inland waters or shrimp production, particularly with the fact that future investments in aquaculture will exceed SAR 17 billion by 2030.
