In line with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to develop the aquaculture sector, promote value-added food industries, and support the private sector to achieve food security and sustainable development, the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the National Program for the Development of the Livestock and Fisheries Sector, and the Saudi Aquaculture Society, is organizing the 30th Biosecurity Workshop. The workshop focuses on enhancing biosecurity standards in marine aquaculture projects within the Kingdom. It highlights the latest technologies and practices to ensure fish health and sustainable production. It also provides an opportunity for specialists to exchange expertise and discuss health and production challenges, in addition to reviewing the results of monitoring and follow-up projects for the marine aquaculture sector. The workshop is attended by experts and specialists from various countries and relevant authorities, enhancing regional and international cooperation to ensure the application of the best standards and achieve sustainable food security.
