Saudi-Swiss cooperation to produce shrimp in inland waters using closed systems with high quality.

Announcing the operation of the Swiss company Novaton, the first pilot project in the Kingdom to produce shrimp in inland waters using the closed system in the Tabuk region in the north of the Kingdom.

This experience reinforced the assertion of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, represented by the National Fisheries Development Program, to urge investors to invest in the most efficient and optimal investment in closed systems because of the advantages they provide, represented in the following;

1- Sustainability in production and not affected by conditions or production seasons

2- Full control over operational parameters according to needs

3- Conservation of water and the regulated and optimal use of water

4- Preserving the environment and sustainability

5- It is possible to choose suitable economical varieties

6- It has strict biosecurity standards
