Food and Drug Authority temporarily suspends the import of aquaculture products from Bangladesh, Myanmar, farmed fish from India, fish and shrimp from Vietnam

Food and Drug Authority temporarily suspends the import of aquaculture products from Bangladesh, Myanmar, farmed fish from India, fish and shrimp from Vietnam

The general authority for food and medicine suspended the importation into Saudi Arabia of aquaculture products from Bangladesh and Myanmar, and also temporarily suspended the importation of fish farmed from India, as of 1/4/2018 m, the import of fish, shrimp and aquaculture products from Vietnam has been suspended Effective 1/3/2018.
This suspend is made in accordance with the regulatory procedures for fish and other aquaculture export facilities of FDA in the movement of fish and aquatic products of animal origin. An inspection delegation from several regulators in KSA, including the Food and Drug Authority, the Ministry of Environment, Water and agriculture and the participation of Saudi Aquaculture Society has conducted an inspection tour last month for Vietnamese facilities that export to KSA.
