Forum  for the Promotion of Seafood Consumption

Sponsored by HM Minister of Environment, Water, & Agriculture Eng. Abdurrahman Abdulmohesn Alfadli and in presence of  HE Chancellor of Princess Noura University Dr. Huda Mohammed Alameel, the Ministry of Environment, Water, & Agriculture and Princess Nourah University, in cooperation with  Food & Agriculture  Organization of the United Nations (FAO/UN)  organize a Forum  for the Promotion of Seafood Consumption.
The  Forum will be hosted at the  Princess Nourah University on the  22th and 23th January 2018. The Forum includes  exhibition of companies and organizations related to the seafood industry, as well as tasting of  nationally produced seafood products. The Forum, will mark the launching of the Initiative for Change of Dietary Habits and Consumption Patterns by the National Development Program (NDP) of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture (MEWA).
Parallel to that, there will be a conference with international guest speakers to elaborate on the importance of seafood for the human diet. During this conference “SAMAQ”, the national certification and labeling program for local aquaculture products will be launched and introduced to the public.
