Today, Thursday 14th Rabie II 1438 H corresponding to January 12th  2017 Saudi Aquaculture Society holds the Annual Meeting of the General Assembly in Moveinpick City Star Hotel in Jeddah.  The meeting began with a welcoming speech by HE Chairman of Board of Directors Eng. Ahmed Rashid Albalaa who praised the society's role and the distinct position it reached in performance an work for the previous period which is reflected on the improvement of its financial position. 
In addition, HE Chairman of Board of Directors Eng. Ahmed Rashid Albalaa expressed his thanking and appreciation to HM Minister of Environment, Water, & Agriculture Eng. Abdulmohsen Alfadli and Deputy Minister for Fishery Resources; Engineer Ahmed Al-Eiadh for their support and care which contributed in overcoming many obstacles and provide the society with a hard ground to stand on for achieving its targeted objectives and working on KSA 2030 Vision with regard to aquaculture sector in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 
After that Secretary General of Saudi Aquaculture Society presented the financial report of the previous year and the most prominent achievements and activities. 
The Board of Directors held a meeting to discuss certain decisions and recommendations including the appointment of Mr. Jaber Mohammed Alsehli as Vice President of Board of Directors succeeding Mr. Ziad Alrahma who resigned from his ex-position. 
It is mentioned that Saudi Aquaculture Society holds annual meetings for the society's members to introduce them to the achievements and activities reached by the society during the year. In addition, the annual meeting shows work progress and future plans to be implemented by the society in cooperation with its partners especially Ministry of Environment, Water, & Agriculture
