Atlas of potential aeeas for  cage aquaculture is one of FAO's programs in cooperation with Ministry of Agriculture in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 
This comes within the framework of technical cooperation program of aquaculture techniques and productivity development project in Fish Resources Research Center in Jeddah. The program is supervised by a group of experts from FAO in the field of geographic information systems, floating cages, and marine environment. The atlas includes comprehensive information about the main topics with regard to providing users with maps and images taken by satellites showing the sites determined according to authenticated information sources related to the criteria of selection the main sites within coastal water of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia   
This atlas shall represent a spatial support in selecting the new sites along with providing geographic information related to certain supporting standards to limit the possible conflicts between users of coastal sites.
