On Wednesday 14/04/1437 H HRH Prince of Madina Region: Faisal Bin Sulaiman Bin Abdul Aziz and Minister of Agriculture Eng. Abdurrahman Bin Abdulmohsen Alfadli inaugurated Yanbou Forum about the investment opportunities in aquaculture sector in KSA. The forum is organized by Ministry of Agriculture and FAO in association with Saudi Aquaculture Society. 
On HRH arrival to the forum compass, he was received by HM Minister of Agriculture and Governor of Yanbou as well as number of officials from Ministry of Agriculture. After that, HRH opened the exhibition accompanying to the forum, which is considered the first one to specialize in aquaculture equipment and supplies, in attendance of a large number of local and international companies. He reviewed several item on show especially provided by local companies. Then, the prince headed the festival site permitting the launch of the forum events which began with a speech given by Minister of Agriculture who welcomed the prince and the accompanying delegation and assured the in the same time the government's intension to develop aquaculture sector. The minister also stated the state's care to provide support and care to this sector so that it can contribute effectively in achieving food security in the kingdom. HM the minister explained that the council of ministers' approval to support and develop aquaculture sector goes in the same direction. 
After that, HRH Prince of the Region honored the sponsoring and supporting companies and entities by memorial shields in this occasion and photos were taken to the sponsors with HRH Prince of Madina and HM Minister of Agriculture. 
Them, the launch of the forum events was announced by a speech of the Coordinator of Technical Cooperation Program between FAO and Ministry of Agriculture Dr. Abo Bakr Mohammed Abdul Aziz. The speech was about the future vision of technical cooperation and partnership between FAO and Ministry of Agriculture. 
The lectures program was opened by HE Director General of Aquaculture in Ministry of Agriculture Eng. Ahmed Bin Saleh Al-Eyadah who gave a lecture about the current situation and future horizons of aquaculture sector in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 
In addition, HE Chairman of Saudi Aquaculture Society's Board of Directors of Eng. Ahmed Al-Bala gave a lecture entitled "Brief about Development of Aquaculture and Production" The lectures program of the first day was completed by a group of experts in aquaculture field. 
The first day of the forum witnessed the signature between Saudi Aquaculture Society and Global Aquaculture Alliance in presence of Minister of Agriculture.
